Scammer Who Met Lady On Badoo Tells Police How Many Times He Slept With Her.

The Rapid Response Squad has released pictures of suspects arrested taking undue advantage and scamming unsuspecting citizens on dating platforms. The RRS also gave an insight into methods used by the alleged scammers.

Michael Atanda who was arrested by RRS operatives recently was blinded by fascination. Hiding under the picture of a handsome London based Nigerian Segun Bayo, he would woo ladies on Facebook, get them to expose their body parts and threaten to expose them in exchange for money. Sadly, for four of his victims, there was no limit. He taunted, blackmailed and extorted till RRS arrested him.

Jaiye, 52, met Bunmi on Badoo. After few months, Bunmi thought of relocating to the USA. She confided in Jaiye, who encouraged her to surrender her N1.4million for visa and another N50, 000 for passport processing. Till now, Jaiye has not turned in the passport or the visa for more than a year.

When questioned by the police, Jaiye started singing how many times he had slept with Bunmi and all he knew about her.

Recently, one Oluwole Falope operating with Instagram handle Froshwhite007 and posing as a USA based lady Shayla was arrested after collecting various forms of money from 15 men seeking to date him.

Sometime in September last year, Shade, after listening to a late night dating programme agreed to meet her blind date in Ikeja. Before this, they had communicated back and forth on phone.

On the said date, her ‘boyfriend’ bought her drinks and so they ate. Unknown to Shade, her date had a new fascination beyond her. He sent Shade to get more drinks. Before Shade came back, the supposed ‘boyfriend’ had absconded with her two mobile phones.

Yahoo Boy Caught Using His 7-Year-Old Nephew For Rituals In Lagos

A suspected internet fraudster has been arrested after he was caught using his young nephew for rituals in Lagos. According to online reports, the alleged Yahoo boy named Tunde Owolabi popularly known as 'Money Talks' was caught using his elder sister's 7-year-old son for money rituals in Ikoyi, Lagos State.

The suspect who took security operatives to where he dumped the boy's corpse - is currently in custody and helping the police with investigation.

40-Year-Old Man Commits Suicide At His Backyard In Enugu State.

A man was found dead in an apparent suicide at his residence in Enugu state. According to reports, the deceased identified as Kenneth Ugwuattama and said to be 40 years of age - was found hanging from a rope in the backyard of his house at Iheakpu Obolloafor in udenu Local Government Area of Enugu state.

The corpse was reportedly discovered in the early hours of Wednesday and no reason was given to why he might have committed suicide.

Tributes are currently pouring in on social media for a promising young Nigerian man, Chidubem Ezeagu, who was reportedly lured by a friend and gruesomely murdered and buried in a shallow grave.

The lifeless and already decaying body of the Nigerian footballer from Umuelele, Irete, Owerri West LGA in Imo State was discovered on Friday 23rd of February 2018 by search party after he went missing last Sunday.[irp]

From what could be gathered by OTOWNLOADED, Chidubem got a call while he was about to eat and left immediately, that was reportedly the last he was seen, all efforts to reach him or know his whereabouts proved futile, a search party was created, comprising most of the community's youths and after some days, his body was found not far away from the community, he had been gruesomely murdered and buried.[irp]

His friends and most Imo celebrities took to their various social media pages to mourn him.

Man Batters Sex Worker Over Extra Rounds Of Sex

A trader at Ladipo market, Kelvin Duru has landed in trouble after he engaged a sex worker in a popular hotel but refused to pay for extra rounds of sex with the 32-year old Blessing Isi in Lagos.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the request for extra money caused serious quarrel between Kelvin and Blessing and in the process he gave her blows and injured her on the mouth.

The incident happened at the popular brothel located at Mosalashi Street off Lafenwa Road in Ejigbo, Lagos.

According to Blessing, Kelvin approached her for a sex romp and she charged him N500 with the hope that he would spend very little time and pay her the fee. She said when he stayed for almost two hours, she then protested but he promised to add extra N200 to make it N700.

Blessing said she bore the whole discomfort until he was satisfied and gave her N1000 asking for change. She then gave him N300 but he insisted that she will not collect the extra N200 which caused the fight and he injured her.

The Edo State-born Blessing claimed that during the fight, Kelvin stole her N76,000 which she kept in her room where the fight took place.

P.M.EXPRESS gathered from Kelvin that when he contacted Blessing, that they agreed on N500 before they started the romp. 

He said at the middle of the action, she said that he had wasted much time and should add another N200 which he agreed since he was still in the action. 

When he finished he then insisted that he will not pay the extra money. Kelvin denied that he stole any money from her bag.

The matter was reported to the police. He was asked to pay her the money but he insisted that he did not take her money.

Kelvin was charged to court for assault.
He pleaded not guilty.

The Presiding Magistrate, Mr. L.K.J. Layeni granted Kelvin bail in the sum of N50,000 with two sureties in like sum.

He was remanded in prison custody pending when he will perfect his bail condition.

The matter was adjourned till 21 March, 2018.

Man Kills Wife In Lagos, Shaved Her Hair and Dumps Her Body In Water

The lifeless body of a woman was found beneath in water in Oke Eri street area of Oworonshoki. From the report gathered, the deceased and her husband were constantly having fights and this was known to the neighbors. Some days ago, they had a fight which resulted in the husband getting her arrested. She was detained in the police station in Oworonshoki and later released the next day. 

On arriving home she met her demise. Report has it that the husband battered her to stupor until she passed out. Noticing she was lifeless, he shaved all her hair and dumped her body in the water.

Neighbours who were bothered about her whereabout inquired from the husband who was quick to deny having knowledge of where she has gone.Her lifeless body which was seen was seen in water was found by a neighbor who alerted the people in the neighborhood.At the time of filling this report, the man had since been arrested and whisked way to the Oworonshoki police station.

Unknown Gunmen Killed After Fierce Shootout With Soldiers In Rivers.

Three suspects were killed after unknown gunmen engaged in an open combat with men of the Nigeria Military along Rumuji / Rundele in Emohua Local Government Area of Rivers State early this morning by 2.00am.

According to reports, the unknown gunmen who were eight in number - were said to be on their way for an operation before encountering the soldiers.

Rather than surrender, they engaged in a gun battle with the military men who killed three in the process.

Mastermind Of Benue Attacks & Leader Of Killer Herdsmen Arrested By Police.

According to reports, the 40-year-old leader of the killer herdsmen said to be responsible for the attacks in Benue has been arrested. Alhaji Laggi who is said to be the mastermind of the Fulani herdsmen responsible for the attacks in Benue State - was apprehended following strict orders by the Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris to his Intelligence Response Team (IRT).

The suspect was arrested by operatives of the Inspector General of Police Intelligence Response Team (IRT) led by ACP Abba Kayari at the Tunga Forrest in Nasarawa State.

Aside Laggi, the police authorities said four other principal suspects were arrested between February 16 to 19 also in Tunga town, Nasarawa State, in possession of AK47 rifles and other prohibited arms.

The four suspects were arrested in connection to the killing of Sergeant Solomon Dung, other police officers and many innocent citizens in Benue State.

While Laggi was said to be the mastermind, the other four were identified as Mallam Mumini Abdullahi, 34, Muhammed Adamu, 30 and Ibrahim Sule, 32.

During preliminary interrogations, the suspects confessed to the killings and mentioned their fleeing gang members who are in possession of the police rifles they took from the cops they murdered.

Already the police said serious follow up is in progress in Benue, Taraba and Benue States.

Man Kills Friend Over N1000 Note They Saw On The Ground In Lagos

A man identified as Moshood has been held by Community members of Makoko in Yaba area of Lagos for killing his friend over N1000. According to reports, the bloody clash occurred following an argument over who owns a N1000 Note they saw on the floor. The deceased was stabbed to the death in the process of fighting. 

The killer was apprehended and handed over to the police authorities. 

Chinese Man Arrested In Lagos With Elephant Tusks N494 Million Worth

Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has intercepted sacks of elephant tusks and pangolin shells in a warehouse at No. 38, Ogundana Street, Off Allen Avenue, Ikeja, with a combined Duty Paid Value (DPV) of N493.5 million. .
The unit also arrested a Chinese suspect, Mr. Ko Sin Ying, in connection with the items whose export breaches international protocols and conventions. .

Comptroller, Mohammed Uba Garba yesterday said the seizures comprised 55 sacks of pangolin shells weighing 2001kg and valued at N408.32 million, and 218 pieces of elephant tusk weighing 343kg and valued at N85.2 million. .

He disclosed that the team, acting on intelligence, had mounted surveillance on the area and on a tip-off, raided the apartment where the security confirmed the occupant to be a Chinese national, Mr. Ko Sin Ying.

Garba noted that the export of such endangered species of animals like elephant and pangolin breaches international protocols and conventions. .

“It further prevents the killings of endangered species since the tusks are only available after the killing of the elephant or pangolin,” he said

Rwandan Court Jails Nigerian Woman Over Drug Trafficking

The specialised chamber for international crimes at the High Court in Rwanda, on Thursday, February 15, sentenced a Nigerian woman to six years in prison for drug trafficking.

Priscilla Duru was arrested at Kigali International Airport in October 2016 as she tried to smuggle1.3 kilograms of heroin through Kigali en route to Nigeria.

During the hearings, she denied the charges arguing that she was given the bag by a Tanzanian woman and didn’t know the contents of the bag. Reading the verdict, the presiding judge Alice Rulisa said that the court had established that Duru entered the country to wait for another person to give her the narcotics from Tanzania so that she could transport it to Nigeria.

High Court ruled that the suspect was well aware of the contraband, waited for over a month in Rwanda before the bag containing the drugs was brought to her. Duru, who was in tears during the reading of the verdict, had previously begged for clemency adding that if she knew that she had been given drugs, she would have alerted the police before leaving Kigali as she indicated that she only came in Kigali after she was asked by a “family friend” who owns a pharmacy in Nigeria to carry for him a bag with a certain medicine called Ephedrine. 

She claimed that she had approached him for help because she needed to cater for her children after losing her husband. Court ruled that she will have to serve six years in Muhanga Prison, and pay two million Rwandan francs in fines.

 Although at the time of her arrest, Duru claimed she didn’t know what she was carrying, when she appeared in court in January, 2017, she admitted that she was carrying heroin and begged for mercy.

Assemblies Of God Pastor's Son Impregnates Choir Girl, Dad Orders Her To Finger

An Assemblies of God pastor in Lagos State, Pastor Charles, from Anambra State, is heartlessly maltreating a choir member in his Church, of about 19years, that was deflowered and impregnated by his son of about 26 years.

3 Children Physically Abused By Their Grandmother Over Witchcraft

Three children were allegedly brutalized after being accused of witchcraft by their grandmother identified as Christiana James in Akampka Local Government Area of Cross River State. The children who are said to be aged 3, 5 and 13 were almost killed following the physical abuse by the grandmother who allegedly fed them only when they sell sachet (pure water).

When the Child Protection Network and Basic Rights Counsel Initiative (BRCI), a non-profit organisation based in Calabar, the state capital heard about the story, they had to intervene and took the victims under their care.

Their grandmother has been arrested and is currently in police custody.

According to the Executive Director of BRCI, Mr. James Ibor, the perpetrator of this dreadful crime is known to the Police as Nsikak. “Nsikak was invited by the kids grandmother to interrogate the kids about witchcraft”. “The kids said that they accepted to the charge due to the pain they where subjected to. Their grandmother is currently in Police custody while Nsikak is at large.

Xenophobia: Nigerian Stabbed In South Africa (photo)

The Nigerian Community in South Africa said on Friday that a member was stabbed during a xenophobic attack in Rustenberg, North-West Province area.

The President of Nigerian Union, South Africa, Mr Adetola Olubajo, told our reporter on telephone that the victim, identified as Desmond, was attacked on Feb. 14.

“Desmond is a Nigerian hair piece hawker in Rustenberg, North West Province of South Africa.

“He was attacked on Feb. 14 and sustained multiple injuries. He was rescued when he was about to be set ablaze after being wet with petrol,’’ Olubajo said.

He said that the Nigerian community in Rustenburg was currently living in fear as tension has heightened in the area.

Olubajo said that the union’s executive had visited the city on a fact finding tour and had already spoken to Nigerians in the area.

“Nigerians and their families told us that the situation is very dangerous and that their lives are not safe.

“They also alleged that some group of people were abducting Nigerians and requesting money to bail themselves.

“A Nigerian who couldn’t pay was murdered last month. This same group also looted businesses of foreign nationals, Nigerians in particular,’’ the president said.

Olubajo said the union could not continue to keep quiet on this criminality and xenophobic act meted to Nigerians in South Africa.

He said that there was need for the mission and government to intervene in the matter to avoid further loss of lives and properties of Nigerians.

“There is need for the Nigerian government to engage with its counterpart in South Africa. It’s not correct that those who were attacked and killed are criminals.

“Such statements are misinformation and misleading,’’ he said.
