According to a report shared by an online user, there was commotion in Onitsha yesterday, A corrupt policemen caused accident that led to the death of a pregnant woman, her two children and another lady who was trying to cross the road along Onitsha/Owerri Express road.
The policemen were posted to guide Dangote's depot. Instead they left their duty post and blocked the main road. They were collecting bribe from keke drivers,motorists and others. Due to their recklessness,a keke driver was suddenly stopped by them while a fast moving truck was coming. While trying to avoid the keke driver, the truck crushed a pregnant woman and her two kids to death. Another lady who was also trying to cross the road was equally killed.
Angry mob stormed the scene, the policemen took to their heels, ran into Dangote's depot. The angry mob set the depot ablaze.
