81 Division of the Nigerian Army on Wednesday said they have set up board of inquiries and detained six soliders over brutality of a woman in Oguduyan Ikorodu Area of lagos state.
According to the spokesperson of the 81 Division of the Nigerian Army Lt.- Col. Olaolu Daudu in a statement said "the attention of the Headquarter of 81 Divison of the Nigerian Army has been drawn through Social media, newspapers and online reports about a brutality of a woman by soliders.
"The incident happened in Oguduyan in Ikorodu Area of Lagos State involving 174 battalion Soliders on Sunday, 12th March.
"The alleged incident is highly regrettable even as the Division under Nigerian Army has zero tolerance to inhuman treatment.
"Decipline remains the bedrock of Nigeria Army Profession. Its quite disheartening when such incidences occurs, even though this incident will not be treated with any laxity.
Consequently, board of Inquiry has been constituted to investigate what led to the incident. Submit their finding, know the level of the soilders and recommend appropriate disciplinary measures which will be communicated.
The brutalised lady has been taken to the hospital where she is responding to treatment.
The Six Soliders are been detained in regards of the incident.
The Division remains committed to its tasks as part of the Constitutional Mandate of the Nigerian Army"
